I saw Korn premeire their new concert in NY on monday. It was RAD, but my ears hurt PAINFULLY-i turned out to get frnt row. Anyways, there were somereally cool riffs but i wonder if all the kids who bit off JOn's adidas and puma track outfits are gonna start wearing kilts>?

Yeah, i have had the new album issues for id say about 4 months now. its more mellow then their older stuff which is kinda a dissapointment for all us old-skool KoRn fans, but oh-well. They sellin out, what can ya do?

"the new KoRn record is good... its got more mellow songs but it still has harder songs + the more mellow songs are good... with them theres a more rap sound which you see somewhat on follow the leader. in either case i dont want to hear about the importance of old-school fans... been listening to KoRn since before they had any tours at all + any publicity but the fact is anyone can be a legit fan unless you are a teen girl yelling about how cool they are because their music "relates" to you." -z-

I'd like to take this time to say that if you say "I've been listening to so and so before they were even big" doesn't mean shit. I had never heard of System of a down untill like 3 years ago. But they are by far one of my favorite bands of like all fuckin time. Them and RAMMSTEIN. Sure i wasnt "into them before they were big" but thats only cause unless they are local its kinda hard to get into small time bands. I am by far a devout RAMMSTEIN fan. Hell, in a year or so i plan to fly to Germany just to see em live there. I've only been listening to them for like 4 years, but i love em. So some of you heard about some bands before us. That maybe makes you a little more special, but it doesnt mean you are more of a fan than some random other kid. My RAMMSTEIN story proves this point well. As far as local bands go now, i pretty much know em all. VAST being a big one. I suggest them heavily. Go buy the album. anyway, thats all. Later.

yes but neither RAMMSTIEN NOR SYSTEM have sold out thats the point...before they were big means before they sold out or changed up the styles

i'd have to agree that there is a difference in some cases between when a band was unknown and what they are now. for example, limp bizkit. i'm not sure if this is just my opinion, but their old album kicks ass, while the new one has a completely changed style, so more little 13 year old girls will buy it.

however, this doesn't mean you're any more badass for hearing about someone way back in the day, just that you're fortunate.

true i do agree more fortunate yes....but the thing is Korn OLD SKOOL concert was violent to the point of bleeding on myself so badly i had to beat up a kid outside the concert so i could steal his shirt so i could go home without blood all over myself..thats why its much mo badass for that aspect...
