while we're on the topic of non-us bands: the guano apes (germany) are pretty fucking cool, saw them in concert in hildesheim, dunno how good their cd is but they kick ass in concert.. then again so does green day, so who knows. just thought I'd share that cause I'm bored to all hell, everyone went to fucking denny's but I'm sick plus I need to work tommorow so fuck you all, ah well s'all good it's my last day anyway.

Dude... Green Day sucks mine. Both live and on CD. This is why when we were driving down the road, b0b threw the green day CD out the window; so he'd never have to listen to the whiney voice and 3 chord punk ever again.

no, they dont suck live. I'm not a big greenday fan but I bought their first album and when it came out listened to it like twice and I like their stage show, it's fun to mosh to. anyone who says "GREENDAY SUCKS" is a trendy fag cause I remember one day in high school everyone thought they were cool and the next everyone started saying they suck. I never cared either way but I've seen greenday live twice and they have a lot of energy and pretty cool ideas to get the crowd involved so I can appreciate that. Sorry cary I'm not as cool as you for screaming THEY SUCK just cause everyone else does. In defense of greenday's music, they've done a hell of a lot with 3 chords and they're also pretty diverse they use trumpets and what not, and acoustic for that one song and I think that's pretty cool. I can think of a LOT of other bands I REALLY hate and that have no talent I wouldnt listen to greenday if I had a choice but i dont think they suck. You know who sucks live? filter fucking sucks live. And I love filter... well, maybe they dont "suck" live, but their show was pretty disappointing is all I mean.

Dude, Green Day does NOT suck. They were the first band I ever even liked. If I hadnt started listening to them when I was 13 I would probably still be listening to some faggot ass r&b shit. So I give green day much props.

i wouldnt really listen to greenday by choice either but i think they are very good. and i think they have some really cool basslines.
I saw a Gomez video on 120 minutes last night. It wasn't all that. It was pretty monotonous. They played a kittie video too i like those girls-ugly as crap, but they rock.

my opinion on Green Day...id rather put a bullet in my brain....i cant stand his voice for the life of me......than listen to them....id give them this tho....its not always technical ability that makes a good band.....shit listen to Korn....they use power chords for everything...now iom not saying that they dont have skill cause they have a shitload of skill...but what i am saying is that skill no matter how much you have doesnt always come into play in whatever you record.....also look at Nirvana they suck my cock when it comes to skills but shit they sound good for the powerchords they used.....another band that sucks my dick at skill level...SLIPKNOT....the guitar work is so pitufull....not comporable to my ability but if Steve Vai is a 10 on the scale of PHATness then Slpknot comes in at maybe a 2 if they are lucky......shit you can tear down almost anyband for a lack of skill but thats not cause they suck its because the music they play doesnt make them exhibit the huge amounts of talent that takes some guitarists to the threshold of MADNESS at guitar skills....nobody trully sucks at an instrument if it serves thier purpose....that simple ...thats my opinion on green day and skillz exhibited by many bands today
