Don't know how many people will be interested, but here's the info anyway.
Playing on Friday June 28th (yes 2 days after I turn 21) at the Sidebar in Baltimore::
Queen Anne's Revenge (local Piratecore)
Absolom (local metalcore)
Despite Best Intentions (PA hardcore)
Heidnik (Philly grindcore)
don't exactly know the cost, but should be under $12. Show starts around 9pm. I'll be there and so should you :)

What in the flying hell is Piratecore? Cause if its what i'm laughing to in my head right now, i will totally go. Now Hardcore i am familiar with, Piratecore, Metalcore, Grindcore you totally lost me on. I guess if your in a band, and you want to be (something)core, youre allowed to make it up. If i had a band, we'd be "Happycore" and that'd really throw off the system. Ok, I'm done.

I wanted Mooncore but, sadly, that seems to be taken. So I tried Deathcore but that's (of course) taken as well. Mindcore and Thecore werent even worth trying but I did just in case. Aquacore seems to be a "new high-temperature, water-soluble fugitive core material". Even Acore has a bunch of pages as does (obviously) Bcore, not to metion [ANY OTHER LETTER IN THE ALPHABET]core. Then, for laughs I tried Asscore which is a few things among them "FREE Anal Action!". So of course I had to try Titcore which is a googlewhacker, neat. Morecore has its own domain and Lesscore is another googlewhack but not really cool otherwise. Switching to a rhyming angle I tried Fourcore which google suggested I switch to fourscore -- unacceptable. To my suprise, Whorecore turned up a few hits. Warcore and Floorcore are taken and I decided that the whole rhyming thing was stupid anyway. Then I tried anticore (a rather good one) and was dismayed to find the rebels had already claimed it. Same with Nocore which is a country (!) band on mp3.com. Then with a lack of ideas I tried Cary's Happycore which is in fact used all over the place mostly as an abbreviation for Happy Hardcore. Smack0r was a fun invention (on the same principle as Hack0r and Suck0r) but it doesnt really follow the core formula. Foodcore is apparently a type of music along with Rapcore, Skacore and the rest (I dont want to know what it sounds like). Getting desperate I went back and tried Suncore, taken. Alacore, nope. Hatecore, sadly enough, no. Lovecore? of course not. Starcore? not a chance. I give up for now, I'll let you know if I find one.

The suffix -core is never a good thing when you're talking about music.

Everytime i read this post i imagine people on stage with peg legs and pirate suits on singing drunken pirate songs to thrash metal. And i cant stop laughing.

uhmm... metalcore and grindcore are basically the same thing.. just liked speed metal shit... hardcore is AFI and all those bands...
i have no fucking clue what Piratecore is..
oh.. and emo ("emotionalcore") is the guy with a acoustic guitar wailing about his fake girlfriend and how she left him and now he's "screaming infidelties" and her "hair is everywhere" and the classic "i like sitting at home by myself crying in the dark" (all quotes from dashboard confessional... except the last one... i made it up)
i have now passed on all of my "core" knowledge.... not that you actually cared.
