Monolith is Going Down.

No more thecult.ml.org?
Wow, I had previously thought that Monolith would be around for a while and we'd always be thecult.ml.org, but I guess I was wrong. Our domain name service will be shut down either tomorrow or the end of January. What really pisses me off is that now my email won't be the same address. We're considering the purchase of a regular domain name, both to ensure that it doesn't happen again, and so that we don't have to permanantly be a subdomain of DXE.net. Speaking of which, if THE CULT should "disappear" within the next day or month, it is available at http://thecult.dxe.net. Don't anyone think for a second that this would shut down THE CULT. b0b's always got something else up his sleve.
On a completely different note, MCPS is headed by morons. Our school system has such an ego that they insist on making the students go to school whether it is a danger to their lives or not. We are alotted FIVE days for snow. Last year, we didn't even use any. Common sense would say that if parking lots are covered with ice, you shouldn't drive on them. It would also say that if EVERY other county bordering yours is either delayed or cancelled, then it's probably a good idea to do the same. Instead, our dumbass county sends us to school normal time. I know of at least two separate accidents involving busses, one of which Ben (#3) was a part of. Ben said, "sitting in cold bus for two hours sucked ass." I'm just wondering if it's going to take someone dying from an accident for the peepz who make these decisions to realize that BUS + ICE + ANYTHING = BAD.
Lastly, a nice group with lots of money visited our web design class today and talked with Krad (#9) and Kait (#28), who introduced them to the school webpage, sample sites we've been working on and finally, THE CULT. Our teacher, Mrs. Newcomer, identified it as an excellent website. Our most recent addition to the LIST is the photographer from the group. Well now we've got two lawyers (soon to be three), a professional photographer, web designers, college students and other various crackheads. Think of the possibilities.
Alright, this is the last one, seriously. If anyone would like to get group rates on a ski/snowboarding trip on Feb 20, email me. I'll need a $15 deposit from you by the beginning of next week for you to go. In other CULT events, we should do a metro tag session some Saturday after exams. We also need to start planning for the mad party when the LIST reaches 500 people. No replies.
