CULTradio kicks some ass.

Well it started like this: Thursday afternoon Cary (CULT Creator) meantions that he got shoutcast for winamp so he can serve a streaming mp3. I test it for him, listen to a couple songs, he gets the voice audio working, etc... I thought it was cool and that we could definitely use it for some nice entertainment for those already in THE CULT. Webmasta b0b quickly set up netcult.org:8000 as a redirect server, so Cary wouldn't be limited to his own bandwidth and because it's easier to remember than his IP (especially since it's not static). So I got offline to actually do some homework, calc I think. Little did I realize that when I got back on, there would be nearly 40 people listening, less than 5 of whom were already in THE CULT. The show recieved overwhelming approval from those listening, including people that we didn't even know. Cary said, "some guy i don't even know just IMed me to say that the show kicks ass".
The great thing about shoutcast is that it automatically registers our "station" on yp.shoutcast.com, which means that people can search for hardcore or techno music and end up with THE CULT. We'll try to harvest these potential recruits as best we can, expect to hear new CULT "commercials" on the show.
If you have been listening, keep listening and appreciate how kickass the music selection is compared to a typical radio station, which also has a shitload of commercials and censorship to worry about. If you HAVEN'T been listening, you'd better not have a sound card or a computer capable of running winamp, otherwise you're going to be... injured. The most recent info on how to connect to the station will be posted here, as well as the song currently playing and the last 10 songs played. No replies.
