DHS Rennaisance Assembly

Wow, Rennaisance is sooo cool. It's too bad k-rad, b0b and I missed the last one since we were at a UMCP meeting in the career center. First we had our pictures taken in the auditorium, then we were moved to the gym and seated for our "academic pep rally".

Next, they made us listen to Lauren Hill, the Spice Girls, Sugar Ray and the Goo Goo Dolls. A group from Drama Club performed "The Leader of the Pack", in which Dr. B and Mr. Deboy rode into the gym on a motorcycle. That was actually funny, since it's always nice to see the faculty make fools of themselves.

Then they gave out all the "prizes" for academic achievements, such as honor roll, perfect attendance, etc. WOW, we got some cool stuff. Waterbottles that say we're hard workers, window stickers and of course, bumper stickers. What's sad is that these are the items that we would like to be able to distribute with THE CULT on them. Lastly, Bakufu, who will likely be featured at CULTaid, played two songs, receiving the most applause.

A short note, more stuff was done on the netCULT today - the member forum is now easier to check up on after you login, plus Jerry has started his section on music updates in the forum. We'll also be reviving Boris soon for those of you who missed him, hopefully with some new comics to be released by Nick.

Will, you also failed to mention that bringing a running motor vehicle such as a motorcycle into an enclosed area is in volation of somekind of school code. It's like sitting in your closed garage with the car running. You might also remeber that when Mr. Deboy reved it, it spit out grey smoke. Their real plot was to trick up into the gym with the alure of prizes and music, just to kill us with carbon monoxide, or just dull our minds. Another clever MCPS plot.

All I can say is stupid, stupid, STUPID! It's nothing but bullshit that nobody cares about, but they have to carry it on and on and on... Bakufu was cool, though. They did a nice version of "All along the watchtower". The Dr. B and Duboy motorcycle thing was ridiculous. Yeah, they're cool. Woo. At least there werent any cheerleader performances or (ugh) Flaggots. We have to suffer through that tomorrow. Hey, Ben, you could record that as an example of too many cows in Damascus. Overall, I would have rather stayed home vomiting orange peels and hamburger meat into a stewpot.
