Sugarloaf Climbing

Yeah, well today was cool. Rev.WiLL woke me up this morning calling to see if I was going to sugarloaf to climb. It's great how a simple tag on the wall can get you a wakeup call around here. Anyways, I realized soon after he called that I didn't have his number to call back (I still need it..) Maggie and Doonan showed up at my house though, so I still got there.Cary goofed and said to meet on the east side, but he eventually came over to get us, then we all went to the west end of the mountain. Then Maggie, Judy and Carol took the long way up, while Cary, Joe, Jon, Will and I went straight to the top. The view was great, plus the at the top there's more stuff to climb. We climbed through a cave formed by a crack in a really big rock, which was nice and cold, but a tight squeeze. Joe and Jon went off by themselves to do something harder after that, and Joe almost fell. Jon pulled him to the top in time though, before Joe lost his one remaining handhold. (Joe owes Jon lunch or something) So yeah, Joe almost died again. We all did a few more free climbs, which is always fun since there's people with ropes still setting up equipment on the same rocks by the time you're done. Free climbing is definitely fun. Always remember that having five contact points is illegal, and having only one is just stupid.
Scott and Josey brought the lunch (thanks again) of rice and beans. Damn, that was good. Next time, more water. « replies »

Yes Climbing was definatly cool. I liked the part where we went climbing next to the people with all the ropes and gear. I left the pictures in my friends car today so i won't have them up until tomorrow. sorry. It was also cool to get to know some of the cult members that i didn't really know before (judy, maggie, scott and josey).

well i would also have to say jon saved me ass to. only if i was about 4 inches taller it wouldn't have had a problem. but iam not so good thing jon was there. and i LAUGH at those people with rope and stuff, and though they thoguth we were crazy. but Owell it was damn fun.
