It would be sad if there's no one else in the cult with a linux server. I'll keep a lookout at work but so far all the linux servers we have are intranet and I dont have root access to anything anyway.
If you get your ISDN cant you run it from home? Also: maybe you could just leave it at bethsoft, maybe they wont find it, hehe. Anyway, at worst we could put up a static version somewhere without the mysql for a while..

There are places that you work out a deal with as well, depending on the size of the data. It would be some sort of redirection. I'm not sure how it works, but its a possible solution. If anybody knows about that, speak up. In the mean time, I'll look too for solutions.

Yeah, a static version of the pages isn't a problem at all... But the root thing is what I'm looking for.

ISDN is expensive, and kinda slow.. If I get ISDN I probably won't run it 24/7 because 24/7 ISDN costs $236 a month for unlimited usage. And that doesnt include internet service, where I'd have to get a static IP and all and thats probably another $40 a month if not more... DSL won't run out to damascus until at least NEXT summer.. so, until then?

I don't really want to leave it at bethsoft... If I did I'd cut off everyone's logins (no cultmail for a while) and get rid of all of the files.. it'd just be the forums and stuff..
