ICP [9:30 Club]

The Insane Clown Posse played last week on the 7th at the 9:30 Club in DC. This newz has been delayed because my orientation for UMCP was the day after it and then I forgot about writing newz by the time I got back.
So anyways, it ruled. The line itself was more interesting than usual, since most people were wearing clown makeup, we got to mooch some Faygo off other people. K-rad found some face paint that was left by the payphone and did a nice netcult.org tag.
Once inside, Biohazard was already playing. They put on a good show for the time they had left since we came in towards the end.
Twiztid, another Psychopathic Records group, entertained the Juggalos for a short while. Their rap is probably almost as good as ICP, but I couldn't really hear it well at the show. Their music isn't nearly as good as ICP though, they have just basic beats. However, you can't beat the scarecrow guy that just danced there holding an axe.
After what seemed another hour, ICP came out of the smoke. Their stage looked like hell, with tubs of 2 Liter bottles of Faygo. The show ruled. Aside from having an audience completely down with the clown, you got to get covered in Faygo. At the end, the cops busted up the show and shot Violent J. The curtains went down, and he must've got his shit cause he was dead. When the lights came back up, the stage was of Shangrila and they played "Nothing's Left". I didn't expect that song at all in concert. I missed that they didn't play "Bitches" (but they didn't have ODB) or "Piggy Pie", but I can't really complain about the show.
The next part of the night started when we left the 9:30 Club thinking K-rad was behind us, when he actually stayed inside to get a shirt. We (b0b, Jono, Ben, me) waited at the car for about 30 minites for K-rad to show up, so we then assumed that he went with Cary/Jerry. Once in Gaithersburg, Jono was about to get his JBCs at Wendy's when K-rad's dad called on the cellphone. We then learned that he was indeed still on V Street and 9, at the club. Poor Jono never got his JBC that night. Ben and him both threatened to eat me since my name is similar to Cheezits. Whatever, we went back to DC, K-rad was sitting on the side of the road asleep. Got home sometime after 2am, got up at 6am for orientation. Fun. Faygo makes great hair gel. « replies »

Standing around the 9:30 club after a show is cool. I got to meet a lot of homeless guys one of whom hugged me in a pathetic attempt to get my wallet (which I didnt have). I told him I didnt have any money on me and he told me that I was assuming too much, that's not what he was there for, he just wanted to talk and that I should laugh with him and not at him. I was like "whatever, I wasnt even laughing" at which point he asked me for 50 cents... So, all in all, a kickass concert.
