HFStival 99 [Fall Edition, RFK]

Woohoo, I'm finally writing newz. Well the fall edition of the festival basically kicked ass. My personal opinion is that it was better than the spring festival for this year, partially because of the lineup, partially because it was back at RFK instead of PSI.net, meaning we could take the metro.The highlights were definitely Powerman 5000, Sev and the Chemical Brothers. Filter, Bush and Limp Bizkit were pretty cool too. I'd have to say that Limp wasn't as good as when we saw them at the Patriot Center last Halloween, but still a good show. Powerman 5K was some great moshing, I wish they could've played in a better time slot with a longer set. There's always next year. Sev was great as usual, hopefully some new people were introduced to their talent. Filter didn't have much of an audience reaction, but I thought their performance was decent. Bush played mostly their oldskool stuff, which was cool, but the pit was just crowded full of girls obsessed with Gavin. Chemical Brothers ruled, especially when surrounded by people dancing with glowsticks, including Jono, Cary and K-rad. Obviously the majority of the people were there to see Limp Bizkit, as their new favorite song is "Nookie". Anyways, evidently a lot of people got injured in one way or another in the pit. Here's what Alec had to say:
"i fucked my nose up as some of you may or may not know. during powerman 5000 i guess i wandered into someones elbow accidently... really hard... i don't really remember much, but i think i broke my nose... i got about a one inch cut across the bridge of my nose..... it bled really really bad... i got a ride in the ambulance across the street and i got to spent 4 hours in DC general, with a vietnamese security gaurd name rodin... or something... i got one stitch and a bandaid and alot of painkillers... but after it all was over i got back right when run dmc got on.... and i enjoyed the rest of the concert... it's really swollen and i can barely see out of one eye.... heh...chemical brothers were fuckin awesome... peace ~alec" For more info read the member forum. Yea foo, da rave tent be kickin too even doh ah was only in dat bitch for maybe 2 hrs o' some shit. And a lil correktion: "especially when surrounded by people dancing with glowsticks" aint too true cause it was us surrounded by bitch ass peepz who dint ha no glowstiks or groove fo dat matter yea dey just dint get da pl entality and they be walkin thru our circles and bein all disrespectin of the style but they not educated wat r u gonna do?
