i wouldnt be suprised if this whole experiment went wrong and created intelligent, super strong chickens that would destroy the human race. in fact I'd probably laugh, humans think they can control everything cause they have technology for it but they dont understand the consequences of what they're doing, no one's actually thought this shit out and if they have then they are ignored. gene therapy is the next big thing man!! yeah! lets go ahead and do it, whoops we killed someone, oh well, we've gotta keep going in the name of science. fuck science, technology is the voluntary destruction of the human race. we're creating things too quickly without being able to understand them. western civilization is on the brink of collapse and it may happen in your lifetime. the industrial revolution polluted the earth. the technological revolution is polluting our minds. but it's not over yet, industry goes on, in a few decades there'll be very little earth left. At least, earth as you know it. the population keeps growing and we're running out of room, not to mention resources. That's why people think growing organisms is the next big thing. Because eventually we'll need them. But what will happen to the human race? Life becomes more comfortable every minute (I'm not talking 3rd world countries either), eventually we wont need bodies. Whatever anyone says, i can promise you that someone, sometime will do germ line gene therapy and fuck up the human race the way nature never intended. Hell, in a couple hundred years we wont need to leave our homes, we'll have tube chikens growing in the kitchen. A net link and holographic meetings for telecommuting. All the entertainment possible. You might say that humans are social animals. i concede. and maybe we will leave our homes, with our cybernetic enchanced bodies, nanotech shit floating around our blood, inhabiting our brain, true human-machine symbiosis, constant health monitoring, constant government surveillence, the end of privacy. yeah, sounds good to me. hmm, I bet half of that doesnt even make sense, oh well.« replies »

you're absolutely right... the only safe thing to do is... shut down netCULT. we have to. it's the only way to prevent the machines from taking over.
